writing prompt #10

What are your five favorite songs at this point in time?  Why?

1- my absolute favorite song is Spacebound by Eminem. I think i love this song because it speaks of a love that is septic, but so intense that he doesnt want to think that it isn't going to last. He states "Love is EVOL, spell it backwards I'll show you."  He had that love, then it went terribly wrong. Even when he doesnt want to he keeps after her. Whether or not he wants to, his heart makes him keep going. He talks about the physical pain of heartbrake, which i relate to.
2- another song I listen to quite frequently is called Mirror by Lil Wayne ft. Bruno Mars. This song talks about self reflection and talks about how Wayne keeps seeing these sad things about this man and how he has nobody, and that he is so disgusted with what he sees. Then in the chorus he reveals that he is looking in a mirror and criticizing himself.
3-I also like Love The Way You Lie Part III by Rhianna. In the first part it sings about a violent abusive relationship that was toxic for both parts. It talks about how love made them do horrible things. The part III just feels like its that time in someone's head that you are comparing the good to the bad, and remembering things as they were. Its like what goes on after the calm of the storm. It still has those same things in it about the fights, but its like its calm, and in the end she makes the decision to leave. It is amazing.
4-Just To Get High by Nickelback has alot of emotion behind it. It talks about a toxic friendship where a friend tries to be there for another friend who has a severe addiction to some sort of drug. He begins to steal and be violent just to get a fix. He gives up everything to get the drugs that he wants. In the chorus it talks about how the friend finds him all messed up in an alley and is just really frustrated with him.
5-Just Give Me A Reason by P!nk. It talks about how things start to fall apart in this couples' marraige/relationship after a while, even though their love was explosive and so amazing at first. Together they fix eachothers imperfections. They get to that huge bump in their relationship, and they force eachother over it and save their love and relationship. It is beautiful.
