writing prompt #7

If you could meet anyone - past or present - who would it be and why?

If i could meet anyone, i would meet my grandfather. He died two months before my brother. The way that everyone in my family speaks of him, he was a wonderful person and i wish i had been able to meet him. He was said to be the most gentle giant. If you were to do something bad, just a look would make you cry because you knew you disappointed him. He would tell you how beautiful you looked every day. He would drop everything he was doing at the drop of a hat just to help a neighbor. His family meant everything to him, and you had better not hurt them, because he would make you apologize because you just felt sorry.
All in all i feel like it would be wonderful to be a person like him, having the same respect demanded, expected, and recieved. I want a family who will go to the ends of the earth to make me feel better, nurse me when I'm sick, hold my hand when i get bad news. I want the love that this man had, and still has to this day.
I feel like in the whole perspective of things, my father has that same kind of life going for him. He is much more aggressive, but the same kind of principle applies to him. I know he cares about my family and I over everything else in this world. There is nothing more important to him than our safety and happiness.
In a way i have gotten to meet my grandfather. I may not have the actual memories with him, but what I do have is the stories my mother, grandmother, uncles, and friends of the family have told me.

writing prompt #6

What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my parents. They have not had the easiest life, but they have done amazing together. They have set an amazing example for me. Their love probably wouldnt have become anything if my father hadnt waited on my mom even though she was 2 hours late to their first date. Their love should have crashed when my oldest brother, Wade, passed away. What i see when i look hard enough at my parents is that they love eachother for everything that they are.
My mother, despite all of the horrible things that have happened to her in the past, is the most trusting, loving, and compassionate person i know. I have made so many mistakes in my life, but never once has she made me feel like she didnt love me.
My dad had a hard child hood with not a whole lot of anything given to him. He has done nothing but care for my brothers and i. He provides more than is necessary for us, there is a beautiful home, food, beds, and a bunch of non necessities that he has just because.
I believe i am most proud of my parents because they are outstanding citizens, great parents, and most of all just good people with good intentions. I hope that one day i will become just like them. I want friends who will go to the ends of the earth for me, a husband who will fight for my love, stand by my side in the worst time of my life, and be happy the day i die because i lived the life i wanted to.

What is your personal credo (belief)?


I believe in morals, good choices, respect, and compassion. When you walk by something that you know is bad; an underfed animal, a car theft in the city, a husband who abuses his wife; what do you do? Do you call the police? Do you just keep walking and ignore it because its none of your business? I cannot stand people who have a sense of entitlement who feel like they can do whatever they want to whoever they want. I feellike people should strive to be a part of their society and be a productive part of it as well.
Parents who don't prepare their children for lives out on their own, shouldn't spend their whole life trying to help their children out because they didn't properly prepare them for what life is really like. I feel like most criminals are created when parents do not enforce rules or punishments. The most important thing in a childs life is structure. But, this being said, good people can come from bad situation too.
In the end i belive that it is your choice to be who you want to be.
