If a handful
of people can change the world for the worse, then I am certain that a handful
of people can change the world for the better.
What
will you do do to make this world of ours, which feels so broken right now, a
better place?
I feel like people will judge immediately aginst sex, race, sexual orientation, and religion. Now, I am not a religious person. But, I understand and listen to people when they need to talk. As for sex, nobody can choose what they are born into. You are born with one body, and very few have the money to change the things they hate about themselves. In my personal thoughts, i try to find one beautiful thing about every person. It can be their personality, sense of humor, features, etc. I always try to tell them as well. When people are down on themselves i always tell them a couple of things i appreciate about them. People who question their sexuality are not hurting you. I do not understand where other people feel they have a right to judge on what other people do in their lives. If they are living with you, thats one thing, but if they have nothing to do with you or what you're doing in your life, what leg do you have to stand on? Judging them just goes to show that you are lacking something in your life. Race is something that is still very focused on. I hate when i hear my grandmother calling people dirty names just because they are a different race than causasian. Its horrible to think that this is how she was raised. My parents always taught me that people were people. Sure some of those people werent good people, but some of them were great people, but were never given the time of day.
I feel like if people could drop their prejudices, this world wouldn't be falling apart. Be happy, make friends, and stop putting your nose in where it doesnt belong. Next time you see someone and feel like saying something horrible, stop and think of something you admire about them, and tell them. Leave it at that. its that simple. I hope in the future that everyone can do this and maybe even influence their kids so that they never have a hateful remark enter their head. That would be wonderful.
